In honour of my friend Jay, here is my list of when I never called you back.

1. I pretended I still had your number, when in reality I deleted it months ago.

2. My battery died and I thought if it was meant to be, I’d find another way. I guess I got lost.

3. I was going through a tunnel, and I just kept on going.

4. I thought I’d wait for you to call me back. You never did. Bitch.

5. You told me you dialled a wrong number. I know it was you. Don’t lie.

6. I ran out of credit and then used my money to buy some new shoes, to impress the other guy.

7. Your voice makes me want to gouge my eyes out.

8. I gouged my eyes out and couldn’t see the keys to redial.

9. You laughed at me when I said I loved you. Heartless son of a bitch.

10. I was too scared of being rejected, again.
